FAQ’s
Pricing and Fees
Does G2 ID Source charge plate fees or setup fees?
No. G2 ID Source charges no plate fees, no setup fees, and no art fees during the onboarding process for new customers. Unlike traditional label printers that can charge $100 or more per color plate plus tooling costs that can run into the thousands, G2 ID Source eliminates all of those upfront costs entirely. What you see quoted is what you pay.
How much does it cost to switch to G2 ID Source from another label supplier?
Switching to G2 ID Source costs nothing upfront. There are no plate fees, no setup fees, and no art charges to make the move. Most brands switching from a traditional label printer save an average of $1,000 or more per label just in eliminated setup costs alone. You can start with a single label or product to test us out before committing to anything further.
Does G2 ID Source offer discounts for ordering multiple products or SKUs?
Yes. G2 ID Source offers aggregate pricing, which means if you have multiple products or SKUs that use the same die size and material, we combine your quantities across all of them into a single production run. This gives you better pricing on every label across your entire product line. Brands with multiple SKUs can save up to 35% per year compared to ordering each label separately.
Ordering
Can I order labels for just one product without committing to my entire line?
Yes. G2 ID Source encourages new customers to start with a single product or label change to experience our quality and service firsthand before making any larger commitment. There is no all-or-nothing requirement. Many of our customers start with one label and gradually migrate their full product line to us over time.
Can I reorder labels without going through the full setup process again?
Yes. Once your label is set up in our system, reordering is straightforward. G2 ID Source uses state of the art technology to reduce lead time and expedite your order shipping, making the reorder process as fast and efficient as possible regardless of how much time has passed since your last order.

Artwork and Design
What if I do not have professional artwork for my label?
G2 ID Source has a full in-house art department that can create or refine your label artwork from scratch. Whether you have a rough concept, an existing design that needs updating, or nothing at all, our team can build a professional print-ready label for you. There is no separate art charge for this service.
If you have created your artwork using a software package such as Canva, your file will need to be exported as a vector file before submitting it to us. Files that are not in vector format may not reproduce correctly at print size.
Please also note that artwork created using AI design tools is not necessarily print ready and may not be reproducible as a label. If you have AI generated artwork, we recommend contacting our team before submitting so we can assess whether it meets our print requirements.

Can G2 ID Source fix or improve my existing label artwork?
Yes. Our art team regularly works with files that were created in consumer design tools like Canva or by non-professional designers. We can repair flat files, recreate missing fonts, add proper stroke and bleed, correct color profiles, and ensure everything meets print standards before it ever goes to press.
To get the best results and reduce creation time and cost, we recommend supplying your artwork as a vector file with all fonts included. Vector files allow our team to work with individual elements of your design rather than a flattened image, which results in a cleaner and more accurate final product. Files that are not in vector format, such as JPEGs or screenshots, are often low resolution and may not reproduce cleanly at print size.

What file formats does G2 ID Source accept for label artwork?
G2 ID Source prefers vector artwork files such as AI, EPS, or PDF formats as these produce the sharpest print results. However if you only have a raster file such as a JPEG or PNG our art team can assess it and advise on the best path forward. If your artwork needs to be rebuilt in vector format our in-house team can handle that for you.
Do I need to have my artwork ready before contacting G2 ID Source?
No. You can reach out to G2 ID Source at any stage of the process. Whether you have finished print-ready files or just an idea sketched on paper, our team will work with you to get your label designed, approved, and into production.
What does G2 ID Source's proofing process look like?
G2 ID Source uses an extensive multi-step proofing process to ensure every label is accurate and print ready before it ever goes to production.
Every label goes through a thorough human review by a member of our team who checks the overall design, layout, color accuracy, and print readiness. In addition to our human review process, we also use AI powered proofing through Google Gemini to provide a second layer of verification. Our AI review checks critical details that are easy to miss including phone numbers, website addresses, spelling, ingredient names, chemical compound names, allergen disclosures, and any other text elements that need to be precise.
This combination of human expertise and AI verification means that by the time your label goes to press, it has been reviewed at multiple levels for accuracy. We take proofing seriously because once a label goes to print, errors are costly. Our goal is to catch any issues before they become your problem.

Switching to G2 ID Source is designed to be as easy as possible. Because we have no plate fees, no setup fees, and no art charges, the financial barriers that typically make switching feel overwhelming are completely eliminated. You do not need to switch your entire product line at once. Most brands start with one new label or an upcoming label change, let us prove ourselves, and then gradually move more of their business to us over time.
Will I lose my existing label files or designs if I switch to G2 ID Source?
No. Your existing label designs remain yours regardless of who printed them previously. G2 ID Source will work with whatever files you have and our art team can rebuild or refine them as needed at no additional charge.

G2 ID Source serves established brands distributing to major retailers including big box stores, grocery chains, and national distributors. We have the equipment, staffing, and in-house capabilities to handle production scale label runs across multiple SKUs and product lines.
